Falling Water Skylight

In 1995, I was awarded Percent
for Art Commission to do "Falling Water Skylight," a 14' x 30'
x 6', seven ton, glass & steel sculpture for the Grand Stair Hall of
the Minnesota Judicial Center on the State Capitol Grounds, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Thirty-three steel framed, irregularly shaped boxes
and six hundred and fourteen pieces of laminated, clear, textured, pastel
colored glass are suspended over the two story, Grand Stairs.

Shaped panels of clear, tinted and textured glass are positioned
to create overlays of reflected colors and shadows. Differing daylight
conditions cause the Skylight to constantly change appearance filling
columns, walls and floor with textured shapes of color.
