Bio

Pat Benincasa is a first generation Italian-American woman. She is an award-winning artist and educator who is passionate about making and teaching art. She has received a National Percent for Art commission and General Services Administration (GSA) Art In Architecture Commission and completed an Artist Residency at the Toronto School of Art. Her work is archived at the Minnesota Historical Society.

Her works are in collections in the Boston Public Library, GSA Kansas City, Missouri, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Texas. She is included in the Regional Women’s Archive at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. Her work has received international recognition.

Benincasa received both her MFA and MA from Wayne State University in Detroit and received her K-12 Art Licensure from St. Catherine University.  She lives in Saint Paul.
